Event planned to kick off Fire Safety Week
Residents can learn more about the Florenceville-Bristol Fire Department and join the fun as the fire crew hosts an open house on Saturday, Oct. 7.
The department will open its fire hall at 4724 Juniper Road from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The special event, designed to kick off Fire Safety Week, offers refreshments, prizes, fire truck rides, fire hall tours and more.
Department members noted the open house also offers an excellent opportunity to learn more about what it takes to become a firefighter.
