Woodstock Police Force said the man sustained non-life-threatening injuries, driver fined
A pedestrian sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being struck by a vehicle in downtown Woodstock late Friday afternoon, Nov. 8.
Sgt. John Wetmore of the Woodstock Police Force said the male pedestrian was crossing Main Street on the crosswalk near the Woodstock courthouse.
While the injuries didn’t appear serious, Wetmore said the injured man went to the hospital for treatment.
He said police issued fines to the vehicle driver but couldn’t detail the exact infraction.
Several Woodstock Police Force vehicles and Ambulance New Brunswick responded to the accident scene.
Wetmore described the traffic volume as “bumper-to-bumper,” which is standard on a Friday in downtown Woodstock.
