eVisit to provide online care services until summer

eVisit CEO Dr. Hanif Chatur has confirmed that his company will continue to provide virtual medical care services to New Brunswickers for three months past the original April 1 changeover deadline.

Last fall, the provincial government put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) for virtual care. eVisit, which has provided the service since the pandemic and was the only New Brunswick company to respond to the RFP, did not get the new contract.

“I am meeting with GNB this afternoon,” wrote Dr. Chatur in a text to the River Valley Sun. “I’ll get back to you after.”

The eVisit website now states that the service remains available until June 30, 2026.
