2nd Annual Thunder Valley Poker Run to raise funds for Evan Graham Memorial Scholarship
After last year’s resounding success, the Thunder Valley Motorcycle Poker Run is set to return this Saturday, July 25.
The event will be held at the Woodstock Legion and begin at noon, featuring vendors and live music.
“This year’s event is expected to welcome riders from across the region for a day of family fun. Participants in the rally will enjoy a guided, approximately 150 km-scenic loop. While those who are not participating in the rally can watch the parade of bikes take off and stay onsite to enjoy vendors, snacks and activities. “ said organizers in a social media post advertising the Poker Run
Registration for those riding in the Poker Run will take place from noon to 2:20 p.m., with riders expected to line up at 2:15 p.m.
Riders and passengers will be charged $20 to participate in the ride, which begins at 2:30 p.m., with this fee including access to the live music at the Legion when participants return from the ride at approximately 5:30 p.m.
Access to the music alone will set participants back $10.
The event, now set to become an annual occurrence, is to be held in memory of Evan Graham, a local high school student who tragically passed in an ATV crash in 2020.
The ride aims to raise money for the Evan Graham Memorial Scholarship, which awards funding to a high school graduate pursuing studies in agriculture.
