Musical duo announce first headline tour and upcoming album “Call You A Country Boy”

Macauley and Micha Martin, better known as The Martin Boys, are gearing up for their first-ever headline tour, “Call You A County Boy.”

“It’s a bit nerve-racking doing our own tour and looking after almost everything ourselves, but we’re super excited to be going clear across Canada again and getting the opportunity to play in front of all our fans country-wide,” said Macauley.

The tour has 11 shows across Canada in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia. The tour kicks off in Vancouver on Sept. 23 and finishes in Moncton on Oct. 10.

The country duo began discussing the tour with their management, Valle Music Management, since Tim Hicks’ “Going Somewhere” tour they opened for between May and June.

“We’re going to be playing smaller venues than with Tim, but we are super excited to be coming back to some of the places we were at in May,” said Micha.

The brothers said it’s a lot of work preparing for a headline tour. They’ve been rehearsing non-stop and working on getting sponsors and advertising. Next month they will be working hard to get the music and logistics “100 per cent dialled in.”

The two are also trying to decide what their opening act will look like.

“We haven’t decided yet if we’re going to have one and go clear across the country with us, or if we will just seek out someone local in all the different markets we’re hitting. Stay tuned for that,” said Micha.

The Martin Boys mom, Krista Martin, said family members are supporting their musical ambitions.

“From the time they were little, we knew there was something extraordinary in them. We saw a spark, a passion, and a love for music that couldn’t be taught. All we ever wanted was to encourage them to believe in themselves, chase their dreams, and never stop doing what they love,” said Krista.

“To watch those dreams become reality is more than we could have ever imagined. To say our hearts are bursting with pride as they announce their nationwide headlining tour is the biggest understatement.”

The Martin Boys are excited for this big step in their career and can’t wait to get on the road.

“Obviously music is our dream and has been our dream forever, so being able to do a headline tour across our home country is a big dream come true. Maybe next time it’ll be a worldwide event,” said Macauley.
