Bhalla practice includes ‘first of its kind’ equipment in New Brunswick
Drs. Richa and Aditya Bhalla are not only business partners and fellow dentists, but also life partners who chose Carleton County to set up shop after a cross-Canada tour.
“We chose Woodstock,” said Aditya, smiling.
He and his wife, Richa, are both from India. Each was a practicing dentist and met at a dental conference. They own and operate Woodstock Dentistry.
“We knew we wanted to be here. People were so welcoming,” said Richa.
The town’s proximity to good universities, as well as the new office space at 100 Jones Street, were also selling points.
Their practice offers full-dentistry services, and the office boasts some of the latest dental technology.
The doctors are both dentists and dental surgeons. They offer implants, bone grafting, and plasma-rich fibre services, as well as a new filling technology called Bioclear, which Richa is certified to provide to patients.
“Right now we believe she is the only fully-trained dentist to offer Bioclear in the province,” said Aditya, noting she travelled to Toronto for the training.
The Woodstock Dentistry clinic is set up like an out-patient medical facility, with impressive surgical theatres and state-of-the-art equipment.
“We’ve invested in the technology, but we’ve also invested in our staff,” explained Aditya.
“We want our staff to be happy, and fulfilled in their jobs, so we offer training, but also pay competitive wages. Happy staff almost always translates to happy patients,” explained Richa.
The couple notes that, like every other dental office, they struggle to attract hygienists but are working on recruitment.
“If you are a hygienist who loves people, we’d love to hear from you,” said Richa.
