Big Iron brings in big money

Sanctuary House benefits from popular Woodstock event

Big Iron 2025 was the biggest yet, with 112 trucks and 2,500 visitors. The charity transport truck show raised $52,500 for the local women’s shelter, Sanctuary House.

“Raising money for local charity is a great excuse to have a truck show,” said organizer Matthew Stockford.

The Big Iron stage, which was set up near Murray’s Irving the TCH, featured local artists Zac Peters, Carlin Fraser and Tristan Horncastle this year. The day concluded with a beautiful display of fireworks.

Organizers praised sponsors and participants, noting that none of this would have been possible without their support.

“Sanctuary House was a great charity to work with and provided lots of support and volunteers for the show,” said Stockford. “We need that support to bring it all together, it’s a pure community event.”

Planning is already underway for the next Big Iron Show, scheduled for July 4, 2026. Next year also marks the fifth anniversary of the event. To see photos from the event, visit BigIronsNS on most social media platforms.
