Carleton County’s new book store celebrating Independent Bookstore Day

National ‘party’ for bookshops on Saturday, April 25

Flourish & Fiction, a new bookstore on Main Street in Woodstock, is celebrating its first Independent Bookstore Day on Saturday, April 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Join bookstore owner Kiersten Kearney at the store for deals, new merchandise, and giveaways throughout the day.

What is Independent Bookstore Day, you ask?

“It’s a one-day national party held at indie bookshops across the country,” said Kearney. “This day celebrates what makes local bookstores so special: they aren’t just shops, they are community hubs. It’s a day for readers to come together, support the “little guys,” and celebrate the unique culture that only an independent bookstore can provide. I hope book lovers can join me on Saturday.”
