Police charge man after accident downtown Woodstock

Shortly after midnight on Saturday, March 29, officers from the Woodstock Police Force observed a white Dodge Challenger travelling at a high rate of speed on Main Street.

Due to the vehicle’s significant speed and distance, officers did not initiate a pursuit but followed at a safe distance.

A short time later, officers came upon the vehicle, which had been involved in a serious collision on Main Street near Maple Street in downtown Woodstock.

Despite the vehicle sustaining major damage, the occupants did not suffer any serious injuries.

A 25-year-old male was arrested at the scene for dangerous driving and refusing to provide a breath sample.

The Woodstock Police Force asks anyone with information regarding this incident to contact the Woodstock Police Force at (506) 325-4601 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477)/www.crimenb.ca.
