New Brunswick company to provide online services until summer
eVisit CEO Dr. Hanif Chatur has confirmed that his company will continue to provide virtual medical care services to New Brunswickers for three months past the original April 1 changeover deadline.
“eVisitNB is pleased to confirm that the Government of New Brunswick has extended our services until June 30, 2026, allowing us to continue to provide New Brunswickers with uninterrupted access to high-quality, timely virtual care,” Dr. Chatur wrote in a statement on Tuesday, March 24.
Last fall, the provincial government put out a Request for Proposals (RFP) for virtual care. eVisit, which has provided the service since the pandemic and was the only New Brunswick company to respond to the RFP, did not get the new contract.
