Volunteers picking up food for Valley Food Bank
On Saturday, May 2, volunteers will collect food donations in Woodstock for the Valley Food Bank. The ‘One Bag Full’ Community Food Drive will be visiting homes where they left door knockers earlier in the week. Homeowners are encouraged to donate what they can. Volunteers will start picking up bags of food starting at 10 a.m.
Volunteers ask that you put non-perishable food in a bag for pickup. They suggest you place your donation on the porch/front stoop on Saturday morning. Pickup begins at 10 a.m.

Since 2024, community food drives have been coordinated in New Brunswick and Prince Edward Island on the first Saturday in May.
To date, this has been done in Amherst, Bathurst, Charlottetown, Fredericton, Hampton, St. Stephen, Saint John, Summerside, Moncton, Montague, and Woodstock.
The week of the food drive, volunteers deliver door hangers to homes in their neighbourhoods, then return on Saturday morning to collect donations. Donations are delivered to the local food bank.
In 2026, the organization partnered with FeedNB to engage its provincial network.
