Art and youth will unite on Aug. 12 in celebration as Big Brothers and Big Sisters Carleton-York and sponsor Manulife Securities present the inaugural En Plein Air event.
Organizers bill it as “creating art where the two rivers meet.”
The event, taking place in historic downtown Woodstock, where the Meduxnekeag River and St. John River meet, will feature known artists partnering with community youth.
The artists and youth will work together from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for hours of creative work to raise awareness and funds for Big Brothers and Big Sisters Carleton-York.
The inaugural event will end with a reception between 7 and 9 p.m. at Woodstock’s historic Connell House. The reception will feature the viewing, sale, and auction of art, with funds raised supporting Big Brothers and Big Sisters Carleton-York.
