Man killed in New Denmark crash

RCMP say a Grand Falls man died in a single-vehicle accident

The RCMP reported that a 63-year-old Grand Falls man died following a single-vehicle collision in New Denmark. 

In a news release, the RCMP said Saint-Leonard detachment RCMP members responded at approximately 9:50 a.m. on Oct. 16 to a report of a single-vehicle collision on Route 108 in New Denmark.

Police believe the collision occurred when the westbound vehicle drove off the road and flipped on its side. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Members of the Grand Falls (Drummond) Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
