Woodstock police investigating altercation which sent 42-year-old male to hospital
The Woodstock Police Force is investigating a stabbing incident on Saturday, July 20, which sent a man to the hospital.
In a media release, the Woodstock police said officers responded to reports of an altercation between two adult males in the Houlton Street area. The altercation resulted in a 42-year-old male being stabbed.
The police said the first responders transported the victim to the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital (DECH) in Fredericton for treatment of serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
“Currently, the victim is uncooperative with police regarding the incident,” the WPF said in its release. “However, police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to public safety related to this incident.”
The Woodstock Police Force Street Crime Unit and uniformed police officers are actively investigating the incident.
Police urge anyone who may have been in the Houlton Street area to review their dashcam, doorbell, and security video systems to determine if they captured any part of the incident.
