Mayor Fox said Connor served on the town council from 2010 to 2016.

“She was unapologetically vocal and never shied away. I respected her for that,” said Fox.

Wildfire Resiliency plan  – open house

An open house will be held to discuss wildfire risk in the community. It will take place on Thursday, Oct. 30, at the Nackawic Lions Club (134 Otis Drive) from 3 to 8 p.m. The session will include information on the plan’s development, risk assessment, and fuel types, and will also gather input from community members.

Subdivision development – open house

Nackawic-Millville CAO Kathryn Clark said Nov. 20 has been booked for an open house at the Nackawic Lions Club (134 Otis Drive) for council to update potential developers and the public on the status of the subdivision development. Public Works fuel management system

Council passed a motion to purchase a fuel management system from BAM Petroleum Ltd. at a total cost of $14,375. The system will provide the municipality with accurate, real-time monitoring and reporting of fuel usage.

It will keep a tally of each operator and vehicle, accurately allocate fuel costs, improve accountability and transparency, reduce fuel theft and misuse, increase efficiency, generate detailed reports, enhance maintenance planning and support environmental goals. It will also benefit several municipal departments, such as Public Works, Recreation, and Fire, by ensuring fair cost distribution, improved data visibility, and stronger operational control, according to a memo from the Public Works Director.
