First closure for bearing replacement happens Monday, Aug. 4 – New Brunswick Day
Drivers in the Nackawic-Millville region should note that the Hawkshaw Bridge will be closed for less than six hours on Monday, Aug. 4, to hack the bridge and prepare it for a bearing replacement. The closure will take place anywhere from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. (the following day).
The bridge will again be closed on Friday, Sept. 5, for less than six hours to lower the bridge after the bearing replacement. That closure will take place at the same time, somewhere between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day.
