Police searching for suspect running from Shoppers

Woodstock Police Force and RCMP respond to call regarding alleged armed thief
The Woodstock Police Force is seeking information about a man who fled the Shoppers Drug Mart at Carleton Mall on Saturday evening, July 29.

In a media release, the WPF said staff noticed a suspicious man who entered the store at approximately 7:50 p.m. They noted the lone male appeared to be concealing product in his book bag.

“When noticed by staff, the male produced a weapon and fled the scene on foot,” said the WPF in the media release.

Police described the male suspect as slender, approximately six feet tall, weighing about 150 lbs, with numerous tattoos on his arms.

He wore a ball cap, a grey Under Armour shirt, and dark pants and carried a blue book bag.

The Woodstock Police Force, Western Valley RCMP, and RCMP K-9 service responded and searched the area with negative results.

The police released a photo of the suspect.
