Province renews air quality approval for AV Group NB Inc.
In an Aug. 10 press release, the Government of New Brunswick announced it would issue a new Class 1 air quality approval to the AV Group NB Inc. pulp mill in Nackawic.
The new approval begins on Oct. 1 and will last for five years. The company’s current approval ends on Sept. 30.
The facility runs a dissolving grade Kraft pulp mill that produces approximately 540 air-dry tonnes of dissolving grade pulp per day.
Under New Brunswick’s Clean Air Act, Class 1 major industries must adhere to the Air Quality Regulation and follow the terms and conditions in the approval to operate.
