57-year-old last seen at Woodstock/Houlton border crossing

The Western Valley Region RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a missing 57-year-old woman from Hyannis, Massachusetts.

Gretchen Fitzpatrick was last seen on July 14, 2025, near the border crossing in Woodstock, N.B. Police have followed up on several leads to try to locate her, but have so far been unsuccessful. Police and her family are concerned for her well-being.

On September 7, Gretchen Fitzpatrick’s vehicle was recovered deep in the woods in Chapmanville, N.B. RCMP Police Dog Services and Ground Search and Rescue teams have been in the area searching, but so far, there have been no signs of her.

Gretchen Fitzpatrick is described as being approximately five feet nine inches (175 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 160 pounds (72 kilograms). She has blue eyes and brown hair. She may have been wearing glasses when she was last seen, and she suffers from a medical condition which may cause her to become disoriented.

Police are asking anyone with camps, or who may be in the area hunting in the coming days and weeks, to keep an eye out for any signs of Gretchen Fitzpatrick.

If you have seen her, or if you have information on her whereabouts, please contact the Western Valley Region RCMP at 506-325-3000.
