RCMP Request for Public Assistance

Suspect wore a face mask, was armed with knife

The RCMP is seeking the public’s help to identify an individual in connection with an armed robbery in Perth-Andover.

On May 27, at approximately 6:05 a.m., members of the Perth-Andover RCMP responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business on Tribe Road in the community.

An individual wearing a face mask entered the store and demanded the cash box from the cashier while brandishing a knife. He then jumped over the counter, retrieved the box, and fled on foot.

The individual was then seen running towards the Trans Canada Highway, where he got into the passenger side of a silver SUV parked in the eastbound lane. The vehicle was last seen travelling east towards Woodstock.

If you were travelling in the area on May 27, between 5 and 6 a.m., and saw the parked SUV, have dash-cam footage, or if you have information that could help further the investigation, contact the Perth-Andover RCMP at 506-273-5000.

Information can also be provided anonymously through Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), downloading the secure P3 Mobile App, or by Secure Web Tips.

The investigation is ongoing.
