Body of man discovered on July 22; police asking for public’s help
The Tobique RCMP is investigating after a body was found in Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation).
In a July 29 news release, the Tobique RCMP said they received a report of a 56-year-old man missing from the community on July 22.
Police located a body on Neqotkuk’s Main Street the same day.
Following an initial investigation, police were able to identify the deceased as the missing 56-year-old man.
Police are actively working to determine the man’s cause of death, and at this time, believe there is no risk to public safety.
