Oromocto RCMP said mother and three children were missing

Phones lit up across New Brunswick at 1:28 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 6, when the Oromocto RCMP issued an AMBER Alert asking for the public’s help locating a missing family from the community.

A news release issued by the New Brunswick RCMP said a mother and her three children (two teenagers and a toddler) were last seen on Jan. 5 in Oromocto and were reported missing the same day.

Police said they were concerned for their well-being and issued an Amber Alert, releasing photos of the family and describing the vehicle they were driving.

Less than an hour later, the social media posts were removed, and a news release was issued.

“The New Brunswick RCMP would like to sincerely thank New Brunswickers for their assistance during the AMBER Alert this morning (January 6, 2025). The family has been located, and they are safe,” the release stated.

No other details were provided.
