RCMP seek public assistance after Pole Hill home invasion

The Western Valley Region RCMP requests the public’s help as it investigates a home invasion in Pole Hill, near Hartland.

At around 4 a.m. on June 14, officers responded to a report of a break-in at a residence along Route 575. Two suspects broke a door window to gain entry while the homeowners were inside. During the incident, one resident was assaulted with a baseball bat and later taken to the hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

The suspects, believed to be a man and a woman, fled the scene in a vehicle before police arrived, taking a purse and an undisclosed amount of money.

Police are asking anyone with information or who noticed suspicious activity in the area during the overnight hours of June 14 to contact the Western Valley Region RCMP at 506-273-5000. Anonymous tips can also be submitted through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), the P3 Mobile App, or online at www.crimenb.ca.

The investigation remains ongoing.
