Police asking for public’s help to locate man facing several charges, including domestic assault with a weapon
The Western Valley Region RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a 28-year-old man wanted on a warrant of arrest.
A media release issued July 19 explained that 28-year-old Austin Caplin-Aubin from Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation, N.B.) is wanted on a warrant of arrest concerning charges related to domestic assault with a weapon, assault, resisting arrest, and failing to attend court.
The RCMP explained officers attempted to pull over a vehicle in the community at approximately 3 p.m. on July 19, 2024. Police said the driver, identified as Caplin-Aubin, fled the area.
Police did not pursue the vehicle. Shortly after, they located the abandoned at a nearby residence. Police believe that Caplin-Aubin has fled the scene on foot.

“He is well known to police and is considered violent,” the RCMP said in its statement.
