Jim Cuddy, and his two sons, Devin Cuddy and Sam Polley, are stopping in the Maritimes on a tour that marries family time with showcasing the songwriting skills of three exceptional musicians. Cuddy, who the Ottawa Citizen once called “Canada’s Kevin Bacon,” is a household name after his rise to fame with Blue Rodeo. Now, an accomplished solo artist, Jim is taking to highways and back roads with sons Devin and Sam, each bringing their musical talents to fans who appreciate expert songwriting. The River Valley Sun’s Theresa Blackburn caught up with the three in their respective homes in the Toronto area. They chatted about family dynamics, music, and touring.
Jim, Devin, and Sam will be in Miramichi on Sept. 12, at Woodstock’s McCain Community Theatre on Sept. 13, in Riverview on Sept. 14, Liverpool, N.S. on Sept. 15, at St. Francis Xavier University on Sept. 16, in Truro on Sept. 17, in Halifax on Sept. 20, Wolfville on Sept. 23, in Saint John on Sept. 24, and in Bristol at the Second Wind Music Theatre on Sept. 25 – that show is sold out.
