Scotiabank matching Salvation Army Kettle donations

by | Dec 3, 2022

Bank staff on hand at Sobeys all day and it will match the day’s
contributions up to $3,000

Sobeys shoppers in Woodstock can today double their donation to the
Salvation Army Christmas Kettles.

As it has for several years, Scotiabank, whose employees will oversee
the kettles at Sobeys from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 3, will
match all donations up to $3,000.

Tamara Goldrup of Scotiabank, who covered the morning shift at the
kettle, urged everyone to drop by, say hi, and drop a donation in the
kettle.

She said Scotiabank’s annual effort gets strong community support. She
said some people even make donations directly at the bank.

Salvation Army Major Marlene Sandoval welcomed Goldrup to Sobeys
Saturday morning.

She expressed her appreciation to the Scotiabank staff and their annual
contribution to the annual Christmas Kettle Campaign.
