Time to register as a participant or sponsor for the 22nd annual Special Olympics Annual Charity Golf Tournament
Western Valley Region Special Olympics will host its largest annual fundraising event on Friday, June 21, at the Woodstock Golf and Curling Club.
Special Olympians from Nackawic to Perth-Andover encourage residents and businesses to participate in, sponsor, and support the 22nd annual event.
“This is our largest annual fundraising event,” explained Debbi Graham, regional coordinator for the Western Valley Region. “Your generous support allows an amazing group of dedicated volunteers to deliver year-round sports opportunities to individuals with an intellectual disability, in the Western Valley.”
Graham said the day’s events will begin with registration and lunch at 11:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start to an afternoon of golf at 12:30 p.m.
She said this year’s theme of “Buckets of Fun” will allow participants to meet the region’s Special Olympians and enjoy several special events in addition to lunch and 18 holes of golf.
The day also includes a $10,000 hole-in-one contest sponsored by Greg MacPherson/Manulife Securities, other contests, raffles, prizes and a barbecue sponsored by the Corey Group.

“We are looking forward to a fun filled day of golf and friendship,” said Graham. “Your generosity allows our Special Olympics athletes opportunities to enrich their lives through sport.”
She said Special Olympics year-round programs help “Reveal the Champion in All of Us.”
