Police asking for public’s help in both instances
It was a busy Friday morning for the Woodstock Police Force (WPF).
On May 16, at approximately 5:02 a.m., members of WPF responded to a report of a stabbing on lower Main Street. One person was transported to the Upper River Valley Hospital with undetermined injuries. In a news release, the WPF said this was an isolated incident, and although the matter remains under investigation, there was no immediate or ongoing threat to public safety.
Later that morning, at approximately 8:21 a.m., the WPF responded to a suspicious vehicle complaint at a residence on Lower Main Street in Woodstock. As police were on-scene investigating, a vehicle fled from the scene in what the police describe as a ‘dangerous manner,’ toward Lower Woodstock. The vehicle is described as a white Buick Allure.
Dangerous driving with a motorized vehicle is a serious criminal offence that poses safety risks to the public, drivers, and police officers.
