Woodstock Provincial Court: Domestic violence gets man 11 months in prison

Jail time for domestic violence

Brady Glen Crawford, 32, of Woodstock, was sentenced to 11 months in jail when he appeared in provincial court on Jan. 28. He was found guilty after trial on several charges related to domestic violence.

Judge Nicole Angers also placed Crawford on 24 months of probation and ordered him to register with the federal DNA database. He was prohibited from the use of firearms and must seek counselling as required. Crawford had no prior criminal record. He spent six days in remand, which will be deducted from his sentence.

Judge Angers told the court “an escalating conflict” led to the charges against the accused. Crawford had a good work history but was struggling with debt and financial problems. His abusive behaviour toward his former partner was repeated over a period of several months.

“These are serious offences and the consequences must be severe,” Judge Angers said. “I hope you take the time to get the help you need.”

Crawford appeared in provincial court in custody on Feb. 15, 2024, and was released with conditions. He was charged with two counts of assault, uttering threats and assault while threatening to use a weapon (a knife) concerning an incident on Feb. 11, 2024, in Woodstock.

He was also charged with assault and assault by choking between June 1 and Sept. 1, 2023, in Woodstock; and assault by choking between Sept. 1 and Oct. 1, 2023, in Woodstock. Two other charges were withdrawn by the Crown. He was ordered to have no contact with the complainant.

Sentenced on three charges

Andrew St. Peter, 32, of Plaster Rock, appeared in provincial court via video for sentencing on Jan. 27 after pleading guilty to three charges laid by the RCMP. He received a 90-day conditional sentence order and 24 months of probation.

St. Peter pleaded guilty to possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace on April 16, 2025, in Plaster Rock; breach of a release order on March 1, 2025, and one count of uttering threats on March 10, 2025, for an incident in Weaver. Three other charges were withdrawn by the Crown.  St. Peter told the court he was currently at a rehab facility in Moncton.

Two charged in Charles Street assault

Jacob David Murray Munn, 31, of Woodstock, appeared in provincial court on Jan. 28 for plea on a charge of aggravated assault. The matter was adjourned until Feb. 26 at 9:30 a.m. to allow Defence Counsel T.J. Burke more time to review the disclosure from the Crown.

Munn appeared in provincial court in custody on Dec. 18, 2025, for a bail hearing and was released on conditions, including a curfew. On Jan. 13, his conditions were varied to allow him to return to a residence in Woodstock. He must abstain from alcohol and drugs during his release.

Munn was charged by Woodstock Police with aggravated assault on another man by wounding him on Dec. 7, 2025, near the Knights of Columbus Hall on Charles Street. The charge was laid after the victim was transported to the hospital in Fredericton for treatment of serious injuries. Munn has no prior criminal record.

Colton Kyle Weeks, 29, of Rosedale, appeared in provincial court on Jan. 5 and pleaded not guilty. His trial date was set for Jan. 28-29, 2027, at 9:30 a.m. He was released from custody on $2,500 bail on Dec. 15, 2025, with conditions.

Weeks was charged by Woodstock Police with pointing a firearm at another person, assault with a weapon, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, and careless use of a firearm for the same incident on Dec. 7, 2025, in Woodstock. He has no prior criminal record.

Oakland man arrested

Grant Rediker, 43, of Oakland, will appear in provincial court in custody via video for a bail hearing on Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m. after being arrested this week by the RCMP.  His bail hearing was first scheduled for Jan. 30 but was adjourned.

Rediker was charged with breach of a no-contact order, criminal harassment, threatening to put explicit images online and transmitting intimate images without consent, concerning incidents between Jan. 21 and Jan. 26 in Florenceville-Bristol.

At an earlier court appearance, he pleaded not guilty to other separate charges and trial dates were set for May 1 and May 4, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. A pre-trial conference was also set for March 13, 2026, at 1:30 p.m.

Rediker was charged by the RCMP with assault with a weapon (a vehicle), possession of ammunition while prohibited, possession of a prohibited weapon without a licence, careless use of a firearm, being an occupant of a vehicle knowing it carried a firearm, break and enter at a garage, and illegal possession of methamphetamine.

The charges were laid in connection with an incident involving a female victim on March 12, 2025, in Oakland. He appeared in provincial court in custody via teleconference on March 13, 2025, and was released with conditions.

Denied bail and remanded

Jason Tribe, 41, of Knoxford, was denied bail when he appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 on three charges laid by the RCMP.

Tribe was charged with criminal harassment, uttering threats, and breach of a no-contact order on Jan. 13 at Knoxford. He pleaded not guilty and returns to court in custody on Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. to set a trial date. The court heard he will be sentenced on three other charges in Fredericton on Jan. 30.

Debec man charged

Bradley MacFarlane, 39, of Debec, will appear in provincial court on Feb. 17 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.

MacFarlane was charged with uttering threats and dangerous driving following an incident on Oct. 24, 2025, in Woodstock. He was scheduled to make his first appearance on Jan. 27 when the matter was adjourned at the request of his lawyer.

Plea delayed until March

Tanya Lloyd, 49, of Beechwood, will appear in provincial court on March 17 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on an assault charge laid by the RCMP.

Lloyd was charged with assault with a weapon (a walking stick), stemming from an incident on Jan. 5 at Beechwood. She made her first court appearance on Jan. 27 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.

In custody awaiting trial

Logan Alexander Lagacy, 27, of Woodstock, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 for plea on three charges laid by Woodstock Police. He pleaded not guilty, and a trial date was set for April 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Lagacy was remanded to jail following a bail hearing on Jan. 5. He was charged with dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle, breach of probation and driving while suspended following an incident on Dec. 29, 2025, in Woodstock. A monitoring date was also set for Feb. 23 at 1:30 p.m.

Released with conditions

Lucas Green, 22, of Richmond Settlement, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 for a bail hearing. He was released on conditions, including wearing an electronic monitoring device on his ankle.

Green was charged by the RCMP with breaching his release order (curfew). He pleaded not guilty, and the matter was set for trial on Dec. 17 at 9:30 a.m.

At an earlier court appearance, Green pleaded not guilty to several other charges laid by the RCMP. His trial was booked for Dec. 17 at 9:30 a.m.

Green pleaded not guilty to uttering threats on Aug. 13, 2025, at Richmond Corner; assaulting another man with a weapon (a metal pipe), breach of a no-contact order on Sept. 21, 2025, in Mapledale; and breach of a release order (curfew) on Oct. 15, 2025, at Mapledale. He appeared in provincial court in custody in October 2025 and was released with conditions.

Bail hearing adjourned

Emily McSheffrey, 28, of Waterville, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 for a bail hearing on four charges laid by the RCMP. The matter was adjourned until Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m. at the request of her defence counsel. She remains in custody.

McSheffrey was charged with breaking into a dwelling house, mischief causing property damage to a door, two counts of uttering threats and assault involving a male victim in connection with an incident on Jan. 26 at Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation). She was ordered to have no contact with the complainant.

Assault with hot coffee

Morgan Disabto, 65, of Arthurette, will appear in provincial court on Feb. 24 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on one charge laid by the RCMP.

Disabto was charged with assault with a weapon (hot coffee) for an incident on March 19, 2025. He made his first court appearance on Jan. 27 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.

Arrested in Fredericton

Corey Andrew Lane, 40, of Woodstock, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 to answer charges laid by Woodstock Police. At the request of his defence counsel, the matter was adjourned for plea until Feb. 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Lane was charged with possession of a firearm while prohibited from having it, unauthorized possession of a firearm, break and enter, and failing to appear in court. He waived his bail until later. The court heard he was also arrested on other charges in Fredericton.

Remanded for trial date

Christopher Thomas O’Keefe, 27, of Fielding, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 for a bail hearing after being arrested on a warrant for failing attend his trial in December. He waived his bail until later and remains in custody.

O’Keefe was charged by the RCMP with sexual assault in connection with an incident on Feb. 26, 2023, at Upper Brighton, and failing to report his whereabouts to the national sex offender registry on Jan. 9 in Woodstock.

He pleaded not guilty to both charges, and a new trial date was set for April 17 and May 11 at 9:30 a.m.

Break-in on Searle Street

Two men remain in custody on charges related to a break-in on Searle Street in Woodstock on Nov. 24, 2025.

Bastian Kitchener Bradbury of Fredericton and Michael Ronald McKee of Woodstock were each charged with breaking into a woodworking shop, possession of stolen tools, possession of a stolen vehicle (a Mazda CX5), possession of break-in tools, and prowling at night. Bradbury also faces a charge of wearing a mask while committing an offence.

Bradbury appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29, and his bail hearing was set for Feb. 5 at 1:30 p.m. McKee waived his bail until later and will return to court in custody for plea on Feb. 12 at 9:30 a.m. The court heard they are also facing other charges in Fredericton.

Not-guilty plea

Steven Frank Powers, 60, of Plaster Rock, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on Jan. 29 to answer two charges laid by the RCMP.

Powers was charged with nudity and committing an indecent act in connection with an incident between June 17 and 25, 2025, in Plaster Rock. He pleaded not guilty, and a trial date was scheduled for April 16 at 9:30 a.m. The court heard he was recently sentenced to 50 days in jail on other separate charges in Edmundston.

Trial adjourned

Thomas Ross Corey, 38, of Lansdowne, appeared for trial in provincial court on Jan. 28 after pleading not guilty to impaired driving. The trial was adjourned until July 16 at 9:30 a.m. with the consent of the Crown.

Corey was charged by Woodstock Police following an incident on May 20, 2025, in Woodstock. A pre-trial hearing will be held on April 27 at 9:30 a.m. to hear legal arguments from Defence Counsel James Crocco.

Arrested on eight charges

Brandon Francis, 30, of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), will appear in provincial court in custody via video on Feb. 5 at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing on eight charges laid by the RCMP. He was scheduled for a bail hearing on Jan. 29 when the hearing was adjourned at the request of his defence counsel.

Francis was charged with breaking into a dwelling house, possession of a weapon (a knife) for the purpose of committing an offence, indictable assault, uttering threats, breach of probation, and mischief causing property damage on Jan. 10 at Perth-Andover. He was also charged with resisting arrest and breach of probation on Jan. 20 at Perth-Andover.

Guilty of impaired driving

Michael Feaver, 44, of Gordonsville, appeared for sentencing in provincial court on Jan. 29 after pleading guilty to an impaired driving charge.

Feaver was charged by the RCMP following an incident on May 31, 2025, in Fielding. His sentencing was adjourned until March 19 at 1 p.m.

Sentencing on two charges

Clay Nicholson, 28, of Woodstock, formerly of Clearview, appeared for trial in provincial court on Jan. 29 and changed his plea to guilty on two charges laid by the RCMP.  His sentencing was scheduled for May 5 at 1:30 p.m.

Nicholson was charged with assault with a weapon (a pizza cutter), unlawful entry at a dwelling house, uttering threats, and assaulting another man on May 24, 2024, at Florenceville-Bristol. He pleaded guilty to uttering threats and assault on the male victim. The remaining two charges were withdrawn.

Agrees to peace bond

Joshua Sisson, 37, of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), appeared for trial in provincial court on Jan. 29 after pleading not guilty to two charges laid by the RCMP. He agreed to sign a 12-month peace bond, and the trial was cancelled.

Sisson was charged with attempted break and enter and mischief, causing property damage to a shed on Sept. 24, 2024, at Neqotkuk. The peace bond will result in the charges being withdrawn.

Charged with impaired

Aubrey Corey, 65, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court on Feb. 17 at 9:30 a.m. to answer an impaired driving charge.

Corey was charged by Woodstock Police in connection with an incident on Aug. 17, 2025, in Woodstock. He was scheduled to appear in provincial court on Jan. 27 when the matter was adjourned at the request of his legal counsel.
