180 days or time served
Tanna Wright, 27, of Perth-Andover, was sentenced to 180 days in jail or time served when she appeared in provincial court in custody on Oct. 29 on five charges laid by the RCMP.
Judge Sebastian Michaud also placed her on 12 months of probation and ordered Wright to register with the federal DNA database. She must also continue to seek counselling and treatment for addiction. Following her release, Wright said she planned to live in Fredericton.
Wright pleaded guilty to breaching a no-contact order concerning an incident on Feb. 4 and Feb. 5 at Weaver. The Crown withdrew several other charges.
She also pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon (knives and a bat) and two counts of uttering threats on Dec. 16, 2023, in Greenfield, and guilty to theft of a wallet for a separate incident on June 19, 2024, at a gas station in Perth-Andover.
Wright appeared in provincial court in custody by video on July 28 for a bail hearing. She was released with conditions to a rehab facility in Tracey Mills with an ankle bracelet and under full house arrest. However, she later returned to custody.
Remanded for mental health assessment
Christian Mario Albert, 39, of no fixed address, appeared in provincial court in custody on Oct. 29 on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.
Albert was charged with attempting to steal a motor vehicle and breaching probation for an incident that occurred on Oct. 28 in Woodstock.
He was remanded to the Restigouche hospital for a 30-day mental health assessment and returns to court for a fitness hearing on Nov. 26 at 9:30 a.m.
House arrest and probation
Dylan Thibodeau, 30, of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), was handed a three-month conditional sentence order and 12 months of probation when he appeared in provincial court on Oct. 30. The first 45 days of his sentence will be full house arrest. He must also seek counselling for alcohol abuse.
RCMP charged Thibodeau with three counts of assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, break and enter at a dwelling house, assault, breach of a peace bond, and breach of probation in connection with an incident on Jan. 23, 2024, at Neqotkuk. He appeared in provincial court in custody and was released with conditions.
Thibodeau pleaded guilty to all three counts of assaulting police. He agreed to sign a 12-month peace bond in relation to the other assault charge, and the Crown withdrew the remaining charges. The Crown had a prior criminal record.
During the sentencing hearing, the court heard the accused was intoxicated and hitchhiking on a cold winter day in Neqotkuk while not dressed for the subzero conditions. Police were called to help him.
Thibodeau refused to cooperate, assaulted three police officers, and was tasered during his arrest. The court heard he had been sober for the past year and was remorseful for his actions.
Sentencing on two charges
Loic Boulay, 22, of Oromocto, appeared for trial in provincial court in custody on Oct. 30 and changed his plea to guilty on two charges laid by Woodstock Police. His sentencing date was set for Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m.
Boulay pleaded guilty to breaching a no-contact order and unlawful entry at a dwelling house on St. John Street on May 25 in Woodstock. The Crown withdrew another charge of mischief. He had no prior criminal record.
Boulay was denied bail on July 28. He was also charged with breaching a no-contact order, unlawful confinement, assaulting a female victim, assault by choking and uttering threats for an incident on July 15 in Northampton. He was ordered to have no contact with the complainant.
Boulay pleaded not guilty to those charges, and another trial date was set for Nov. 12 at 9:30 a.m.
In custody awaiting plea
Austin Barrett Soucy, 26, of Keswick Ridge, appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 to answer charges laid by Woodstock Police. He was remanded to jail until Nov. 27 at 9:30 a.m. to await his plea.
Barrett was charged with two counts of mischief, causing property damage to two vehicles, theft of tools, break and enter and theft of a motor vehicle in connection with an incident in Woodstock on Oct. 2. The court heard that he was facing additional charges in Fredericton, including breach of a release order.
Barrett appeared in court in custody by video on Oct. 2 for a bail hearing and was released with conditions, including house arrest and a curfew. RCMP charged him with breaking into the Valley Chainsaw Shop in Jacksonville on Sept. 16. He returns to court in custody for plea on that charge on Nov. 27 at 9:30 a.m.
Neqotkuk man awaiting trial
Ringo Sacobie, 58, of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), appeared in provincial court on Oct. 30 and pleaded not guilty to three charges laid by the RCMP. His trial date was set for Oct. 26, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
Sacobie was charged with uttering threats, assault and unlawful confinement concerning an incident between Sept. 14 and Sept. 30 at Perth-Andover. He was arrested, held for a bail hearing, and then released with conditions.
Denied bail and remanded
Logan Estey, 20, of Woodstock, will appear for sentencing in provincial court in custody on Feb. 4, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. after changing his plea to guilty on one charge laid by the RCMP.
He was charged with mischief, causing property damage to a window, and possession of a firearm for the purpose of committing an offence in connection with an incident on Jan. 1, 2024, in Upper Woodstock. He appeared for trial in custody on Oct. 31 and pleaded guilty to count two.
Estey was denied bail when he appeared in provincial court in custody on Sept. 22 on a charge of breaching his release order. He remains in custody.
He also appeared in provincial court in custody by video on June 5 for a bail hearing and was released with conditions (ankle bracelet). He was charged with breaching a release order (no contact) for an incident on June 1 in Woodstock.
At an earlier court appearance, he pleaded not guilty to other separate matters and trial dates were set for Feb. 4, 2026, at 1:30 p.m. and March 6, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
Estey was charged by the RCMP with assault, assault with a weapon (a car), and dangerous driving following an incident on July 24, 2024, at Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation).
Woodstock Police charged him with two counts of breaching a no-contact order related to an incident on Aug. 3, 2024, in Woodstock. He was ordered to have no further contact with the complainant. He appeared in provincial court in custody on Aug. 8, 2024, and was released with conditions.
Fredericton man has two charges
Jeremy William Graves, 31, of Fredericton, will appear in provincial court on Nov. 18 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.
Graves was charged with uttering threats and assaulting another man following an incident on April 10 in Woodstock. He appeared in court on Oct. 29 when the matter was adjourned to allow him more time to consult with legal counsel. He was released on an undertaking until his next appearance.
Bail hearing rescheduled
Brodey O’Donnell, 22, of Campbell Settlement, appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 for a bail hearing. The hearing was adjourned until Nov. 6 at 9:30 a.m. at the request of his defence counsel.
O’Donnell was charged by the RCMP with assaulting police, uttering threats, and resisting arrest for an incident on July 17 at Campbell Settlement.
He appeared in provincial court in custody in Woodstock on Aug. 19 after being arrested on a warrant on charges in Edmundston. He was later released with conditions.
O’Donnell also appeared in provincial court in custody by video for a bail hearing in Woodstock on July 28 and was released. He was recently taken back into custody and charged with failing to attend court in Woodstock.
On Oct. 30, a new charge of breaching his release order (curfew) was laid by the RCMP for an incident on Sept. 26 at Campbell Settlement.
Released with conditions
Stephen Mohan, 44, of St. Stephen, appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 for a bail hearing on four charges laid by the RCMP. He was released with conditions and will return to court for plea on Nov. 25 at 9:30 a.m.
Mohan was charged with possession of a weapon (a knife) dangerous to the public peace, uttering threats, and robbery of a motor vehicle using violence, concerning an incident on Oct. 17 at Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation). He was also charged with resisting arrest on Oct. 17 at Canterbury.
Remanded on Fredericton charges
Nathan Harper, 19, of Fredericton, appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 after failing to appear in Woodstock to answer a theft charge. The court heard he was remanded on other matters in Fredericton, so a warrant for his arrest was vacated.
Harper was charged with theft from the Canadian Tire Store and breach of an undertaking in connection with an incident on Aug. 20, 2024, in Woodstock. He returns to court for plea on Nov. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Trial in February
Nicholas Erikson, 34, of no fixed address, appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 for a monitoring hearing. He confirmed he has legal counsel to proceed to trial.
Erikson pleaded not guilty to three charges, and his trial was set for Feb. 12, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. He was denied bail when he appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Sept. 29.
RCMP charged him with breaking into a dwelling house, possession of stolen property and resisting arrest on Aug. 12 at Oak Mountain. The Crown withdrew one other charge. Erikson has a prior criminal record.
Wotstak man remains in custody
Greg Paul McCormick, 36, of Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation), appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Oct. 30 and pleaded not guilty to charges laid by the RCMP. His trial date was set for March 30-31, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.
McCormick was denied bail when he appeared in provincial court in custody by video on Sept. 8. He was charged by RCMP with arson causing damage to a dwelling house, three counts of uttering threats, breaking into a dwelling house to commit mischief, three counts of assaulting a police officer while threatening to use gasoline, and causing injury to a dog by choking it in connection with an incident on June 25 at Wotstak.
He appeared in court on July 4 for a fitness hearing following a five-day mental health assessment at the Restigouche hospital. He was found fit to stand trial in accordance with his medical report. The court heard that a resolution is being sought with the Crown regarding the charges. A monitoring hearing was set for Dec. 17 at 1:30 p.m.
Theft charge withdrawn
Emily Anne Crandlemire, 30, of Windsor, appeared in provincial court in custody via teleconference on Oct. 30 after being arrested on a warrant for failing to appear in provincial court.
She was charged by the RCMP with driving while suspended and theft of gas from the Irving Station in Florenceville-Bristol on May 12, 2023. She pleaded not guilty at an earlier court appearance and was scheduled to return to court on Oct. 7 to set a trial date.
On Oct. 30, the Crown withdrew the theft charge, and Crandlemire was released from custody. She returns to court on May 25, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. for trial on the charge of driving while suspended.
