Organizers say this year’s turnout bigger than last

The 2024 Woodstock Ribfest was a big success.

The weather cooled down after a three-day heat wave in time for the festivities to begin.

Andrew Garnett, one of Woodstock Ribfest’s main organizers, believes this year’s turnout was larger than last year’s. He and other committee members were pleased to see people enjoying themselves; between the food, live music, and donations to cancer support organizations, he said it was hard not to have a good time.

Despite the rain on Sunday, people were still coming in for takeout, which was available until 5 p.m.

All funds raised throughout the weekend are divided between the River Valley Cancer Support Group, the Living Beyond Cancer Peer Support Group, and the John T. McMillan Jr. Memorial Foundation.
