The Rotary Club of Woodstock has partnered with Woodstock’s Cross Creek Brewing in their quest to eradicate polio.

Established in 1931, the Rotary Club of Woodstock has grown to become one of the largest and longest-serving community service organizations in Woodstock. As part of Rotary International, more than 35 local community leaders volunteer their time to lead, partner and support many local and international projects.

Rotary International is one of the world’s largest service organizations. The self-declared mission of Rotary is to “provide service to others, promote integrity, and advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the fellowship of business, professional, and community leaders”. There are over 46,000 member clubs worldwide, with a membership of 1.4 million individuals, known as Rotarians.

A group of local investors opened Cross Creek Brewing in August 2019. Today, Cross Creek Brewing employs a master brewer and produces more than a dozen craft beers and cider products. Weekly entertainment and events have also helped create a social gathering spot for locals and visitors alike.

Rotary International has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. As a founding partner of the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, Rotary has helped reduce polio cases by 99.9% since our first project to vaccinate children in the Philippines in 1979. Rotary members have contributed more than $2.1 billion and countless volunteer hours to protect nearly 3 billion children in 122 countries.

October 24 is recognized as World Polio Day. This year, in partnership with Cross Creek Brewing, the Rotary Club of Woodstock is organizing the Rotary Pints for Polio Weekend. Cross Creek Brewing and the Rotary Club of Woodstock will each contribute $1.00 for each Cross Creek Brand 16oz+ of draught beer purchased on October 24, 25 & 26, 2025, to the Rotary Polio Eradication Fund. The Gates Foundation also contributes $2.00 for every dollar contributed to the Rotary Polio Eradication Fund. This means that for every qualifying purchase 6 children will be vaccinated against polio.

“Cross Creek Brewing appreciates this opportunity to partner with the Rotary Club of Woodstock to protect children from polio,” said Cross Creek President, Pat Sullivan. “We are excited to work with and support Cross Creek Brewing as we continue the fight against polio,” said Woodstock Rotary President Corey Clark.
