Man killed in motorcycle crash near Perth-Andover

RCMP report 26-year-old Moncton man as victim of single-vehicle accident

The Western Valley Region RCMP said a 26-year-old man from Moncton died following a single-motorcycle crash in Perth-Andover. 

In a news release, the RCMP said Perth-Andover RCMP responded to a report of a single-motorcycle crash next to Highway 2 in Perth-Andover at 3:53 p.m. on Sept. 15. 

Police believe the crash occurred when the driver lost control of the motorcycle, left the roadway, struck a guardrail and was ejected from his motorcycle.

 The 26-year-old man and sole occupant of the motorcycle was transported to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

The RCMP said Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. 

An RCMP collision reconstructionist and the New Brunswick Coroner’s office are assisting with the investigation. An autopsy will be scheduled to determine the man’s exact cause of death.

The investigation into the collision is ongoing.
