Residents encouraged to fill a cruiser to help local students
On Thursday, Aug. 28, the Woodstock Police Force (WPF) will be using their police cruiser for something a little different. From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., officers will be at Walmart in Woodstock to collect school supplies.
Donations collected will be used to help students at Townsview, Meduxnekeag Consolidated, and Woodstock High schools.
Supplies needed include:
lined paper, graph paper, pencils, erasers, pens, binders, duo-tangs, composition notebooks, pencil crayons, highlighters, correction tape, glue sticks, scotch tape, dividers, facial tissue, backpacks, lunch bags, water bottles, anti-bacterial wipes, and craft supplies.
In a social media post announcing the event, the WPF stated that any donations would be greatly appreciated, and they thanked the public for lending a hand to support students and teachers.
