RCMP say little about what happened

On Monday, Oct. 20, residents in the Johnville area of Carleton County, near Route 565, between Johnville Road and Dooley Road, were told to expect an increased police presence as the New Brunswick RCMP are in the area in connection with an ongoing police operation.

Before noon on Tuesday, Oct 21, the Western Valley Region RCMP reported on their social media pages that they no longer needed the public to stay away from the area.

“The police operation has since concluded,” the Facebook post announced. “Thank you for your understanding.”

No other details were released.
