Man faces multiple charges, including flight from police, driving while suspended
In a media statement issued on Friday, Sept. 4, the Woodstock Police Force said it had arrested a Hartland man and is awaiting lab results to see if he’ll also be charged with possessing drugs for the purpose of trafficking.
“On August 5, 2026, at approximately 12:39 a.m., members of the Woodstock Police Force attempted to stop the operator of a red Kawasaki motorcycle after observing multiple traffic-related offences,” the release noted.
The motorcycle fled from police, prompting an investigation to identify the operator and determine the circumstances. The investigation included offences of dangerous operation, flight from police, driving while suspended, passing on a solid line, and failing to stop at a posted stop sign.
The news release said police were able to positively identify the operator as a 34-year-old male from Hartland. On August 19, the individual was arrested and subsequently charged with dangerous operation and flight from police.
“During a search of the individual’s personal belongings, police located approximately 33 grams of a substance suspected to be methamphetamine. A charge of possession for the purpose of trafficking is being sought, pending charge approval and laboratory analysis of the seized substance.”
