Check out what the centre has to offer any day, from Tuesday to Saturday
Visitors can check out what rural Carleton North has to offer by visiting the Juniper Community Centre.
The centre, created in the community’s former school, showcases the rich history of the rural Carleton County hamlet, located on the headwaters of the Miramichi River.
The centre is now open for summer hours, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday.
Drop by for lunch on Thursdays or Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., or enjoy a hearty breakfast every Saturday from 8 to 11 a.m.
Visitors can shop in the centre’s well-stocked Community Closet, which features gently used clothing and a wide selection of household essentials.
Centre officials note it now accepts debit card payments on all purchases over $5.
The centre also features an outdoor playground for children and trails into the surrounding woodland.
The Juniper Community Centre will host its monthly musical jamboree, featuring local singers and musicians, on Saturday, July 27, from 2 to 4 p.m., and Saturday, Aug. 17, as part of its 10th-anniversary celebration.
The centre is also available to rent for meetings and special events.
