Woodstock councillor Mark Rogers confirmed he is reoffering. The single-term council member will seek one of four seats in Woodstock’s Ward 4 in the Nov. 28 election.
Rogers announced his decision in the following statement:
“I would like to announce my candidacy for council in the upcoming municipal election for Woodstock (Ward 4)
“I’ve had the pleasure of serving the town of Woodstock for the past year and a half, which has been eye-opening and educational.
As a lifelong resident of Woodstock, my wife Twyla (nee Dymond) and I have twin boys, Justin and Jordan Rogers and a newly married daughter, Sydney Haines.
“I’ve been a small business owner for over 20 years within our town. This keeps me in contact with many residents throughout our community daily, enabling me to hear their concerns and find answers to their questions.
“There are major projects currently being brought forth within our town, and I would like the opportunity to aid in their advancement.
“Housing, street repair and policing remain top priorities that need to be addressed in the immediate future.
“I am seeking re-election in November in hopes of having the opportunity to work with the newly structured council. I will continue to strive for accountability and transparency within our town’s municipal government.”
