Social advocate and queer quilter Bill Stearman on Canada-wide tour

Bill Stearman, the queer quilt maker, is making another stop on his 2025 Canada-wide tour, “Quilting the Progression of Queer Rights in Canada,” in western New Brunswick. The social activist will be in Woodstock on Wednesday, May 14, at Connell House at 7 p.m.

Attendees are requested to arrive at Connell House by 6:45 p.m. to ensure the show starts on time. Stearman will share his quilts and personal stories that resonate with each.

The “Quiltivist” will present at least 20 in-person quilts, with additional quilts to be shared through a PowerPoint presentation.

The Gorge Quilt Guild is hosting the trunk show.

The show is free of charge. However, donations are welcome.
