Police asking for public’s help in locating 28-year-old wanted on warrant
The Western Valley Region RCMP is asking for the public’s help to locate a man wanted on a warrant of arrest in the Perth-Andover Region.
In a media release issued May 16, the RCMP said the court issued an arrest warrant on May 7 for 28-year-old James Hovey of Perth-Andover. The warrant concerns charges laid in January for possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5,000 and failure to comply with a probation order.
Police said James Hovey is also wanted in connection with several recent offences in the Western Region of the province.
The release described Hovey as approximately six feet one inch (185 centimetres) tall and weighing approximately 260 pounds (118 kilograms). He has brown hair and blue eyes.
The RCMP stated in the release, “If you see James Hovey, please do not approach him and call 911.”
The RCMP asks anyone with information on the whereabouts of Hovey to contact the Western Valley Region RCMP at 506-325-3000.
