Old Home Week returns Aug. 1 to 8 with a week full of family fun, agriculture, entertainment and community pride
The Woodstock Old Home Week Board of Directors welcomes residents and visitors to the 78th Annual Woodstock Old Home Week Agricultural Exhibition, taking place Aug. 1 to 8.
They added that this year’s celebration offers something for everyone, featuring agricultural traditions, motorsports, live entertainment, family activities, midway rides, competitions, and community events throughout the week.
The festivities begin on Saturday, Aug. 1 with a free Movie Night at Barney Wright Field before the annual Old Home Week Parade makes its way through downtown Woodstock on Sunday, Aug. 2, bringing together local organizations, businesses, community groups, and performers.
Throughout the week, visitors can enjoy a wide variety of events including:

- 4-H Achievement Day
- Richard Sharpe Memorial Demolition Derby

- Campbell’s Amusements Midway
- Exhibit & Hobby Show
- Petting Zoo
- Helicopter Rides
- Mechanical Bull Riding
- Fireworks Finale
The events will be held at venues throughout Woodstock, including Connell Park Raceway, the AYR Motor Centre, the Agricultural Building, McCain Community Theatre, and other community locations.
“Our board has worked incredibly hard to build a week that celebrates the best of our community,” said Graham Briggs, President of Woodstock Old Home Week.
“Old Home Week has always been about bringing families, friends, and neighbours together. Whether you’re coming for the agriculture, midway, demolition derby, parade, boxing, or simply making memories with your family, there’s truly something for everyone.”
Treasurer Twyla Rogers added the event continues to grow thanks to the dedication of volunteers and community partners.
“Old Home Week wouldn’t be possible without our volunteers, sponsors, exhibitors, participants, and supporters. Their commitment allows us to continue building on a tradition that has been part of Woodstock for generations,” said Rogers.
“We encourage everyone to come out, support local events, and enjoy everything our community has to offer.”
Vice President Randy Patterson also noted the board is especially proud of the balance between long-standing traditions and new attractions.
“We’re excited to offer classic agricultural events alongside new family entertainment that keeps Old Home Week fresh each year. We hope visitors from across New Brunswick and beyond will make Woodstock their destination this August,” said Patterson.
