Annual event returns with reading from Ship of Dreams, supporting programs and new books at the library
Woodstock Reads returns for another year, featuring New York Times bestselling author Donna Jones Alward. The event starts at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 19, at the Woodstock Golf Club.
“The Woodstock Library Board, in partnership with the Town of Woodstock, is looking forward to welcoming New York Times bestselling author Donna Jones Alward, from Nova Scotia, to read from her latest historical fiction, Ship of Dreams,” said Jenn Carson, L.P. Fisher Public Library Director.
Ship of Dreams is set on the luxurious Titanic and follows two women fighting for their dreams. The book is full of romance, secrets, and tragedy.
Copies of the book are available at the library for $25 for those who want to read the book before the event. The library also has a limited number of copies available to borrow.
Tickets are available at both the library and Flourish and Fiction for $25 each.

All proceeds from ticket and book sales will support library programs and help expand its book collection.
“Last year’s event sold out, and there were no tickets available at the door, so we highly recommend stopping by the library or Flourish & Fiction to get your tickets soon,” said Carson.
“It’s always a fun event with good food, good people, and great words.”
