Drummond teen killed in single-vehicle crash

RCMP said 18-year-old driver died in hospital following Nov. 15 accident near New Denmark

West District RCMP reported the death of an 18-year-old Durmmand man as a result of a single-vehicle crash in New Denmark. 

In a media release, the RCMP said Saint-Léonard detachment officers responded to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Route 380 near New Denmark at 1:34 p.m. on Nov. 15. 

Police said the ambulance transported the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle to hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.

Police believe the crash occurred when the driver lost control of his vehicle, left the road and was ejected from the vehicle.

Members of the Drummond Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick attended the scene. An RCMP Collision Reconstructionist is assisting with the investigation.

The investigation is ongoing.
