Woodstock Provincial Court: Jail time for criminal harassment, distributing intimate images

Oakland man handed 30-month sentence

Grant Rediker, 43, of Oakland, was sentenced to 30 months in jail, minus time served, when he appeared in provincial court via video in custody on May 27. He will have 10 months left to serve once his remand time is applied.

Rediker pleaded guilty to threatening to put explicit images online, breaching a no-contact order, criminal harassment and distributing intimate images without consent for incidents involving a female victim on Jan. 21 and Jan. 26 at Florenceville-Bristol.

He also pleaded guilty to assault with a weapon (a vehicle), possession of a firearm without a licence, break and enter at a garage, and illegal possession of methamphetamine for another incident on March 12, 2025, in Oakland. Four other charges were withdrawn by the Crown.

Rediker appeared in court via video in custody for a bail hearing on Feb. 5 and had his bail waived until later. He had been in custody since his January arrest.

Jail time for break and enter

Ryan Troy O’Donnell, 27, of Johnville, was sentenced to 18 months in jail, minus time served, and 24 months of probation when he appeared in provincial court in custody via video on May 28. He will have nine months left to serve once his 263 days in remand are applied.

O’Donnell pleaded guilty to breaking into a government garage, theft of a government-owned half-ton truck, cement roller and utility trailer on June 2, 2025, in Glassville. Another charge of mischief, causing property damage to the building, was withdrawn by the Crown. O’Donnell had a lengthy prior criminal record.

285 days in jail for theft

Logan Alexander Lagacy, 27, of Woodstock, was sentenced to 285 days in jail when he appeared in provincial court in custody via video on May 28. He was also placed on 12 months of probation. Lagacy will have 60 days left to serve once his remand time is applied.

Lagacy pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, theft of a motor vehicle and breach of probation following an incident on Dec. 29, 2025, in Woodstock. He was remanded to jail following a bail hearing on Jan. 5.

Woodstock Police also charged him with driving while suspended for the same incident. He pleaded guilty and was fined $500. Lagacy decided to serve an additional five days in jail in lieu of the fine.

The court heard he took a vehicle from a Tim Hortons parking lot in Woodstock and drove off with it during treacherous winter road conditions. He had a prior criminal record.

Defence Counsel Alex Carleton said Lagacy struggled with mental health issues, drug abuse and homelessness. Judge Rose Campbell ordered him to seek counselling as required.

Conditional sentence and probation

Shane Lee Dickison, 38, of Hodgdon Road, appeared for sentencing in provincial court in custody on May 27 after pleading guilty to nine charges laid by the RCMP. He was handed a three-month conditional sentence order to be served in rehab, along with 12 months of probation.

He pleaded guilty to breach of probation, assaulting another man, two counts of uttering threats, mischief causing property damage to a vehicle, and resisting arrest on Feb. 4 at Mapledale; and guilty to uttering threats between Feb. 1 and Feb. 2 at Mapledale. A peace bond request was later filed by two complainants. A police operation in the Mapledale area on the evening of Feb. 4 led to Dickison’s arrest.

On April 21, he also pleaded guilty to breaching probation and assaulting another man on July 27, 2025, in Woodstock. He was ordered to have no contact with the complainants.

Dickison appeared in provincial court in custody on March 6 for a bail hearing after being remanded for a 30-day mental health assessment at the Restigouche hospital. He was found fit to stand trial and was released to a rehab facility in Moncton. He had a prior criminal record. The court heard he spent 46 days in jail before moving to rehab.

45 days of house arrest

Marc Morin, 25, of Aroostook, appeared for sentencing in provincial court on May 27 after changing his plea to guilty on two charges laid by the RCMP.  He received a 45-day conditional sentence order of house arrest and 12 months probation.

He pleaded guilty to breaching his curfew on Dec. 3, 2024, and breaching his release order by failing to appear for trial on July 15, 2024. He had a prior criminal record.

In custody awaiting sentence

An Ontario man appeared in provincial court via video while in custody on May 28 and changed his plea to guilty on charges laid by the RCMP.

Michael Frost, 56, formerly of Howard Brook, returns to court in custody for sentencing on June 26 at 1:30 p.m. A sentence of time served is expected.

Frost pleaded guilty to theft under $5,000 (jewellery) in connection with an incident on Dec. 27, 2025, at a residence in Florenceville-Bristol.

Frost also pleaded guilty to committing arson by burning a vehicle, breaching an undertaking, and resisting arrest on Jan. 7; to uttering threats and resisting arrest on Jan. 6; and to breach of an undertaking and resisting arrest on Jan. 17, all in Florenceville-Bristol.

He was denied bail during a court appearance on Feb. 17 and has accumulated 189 days of remand credit.

Returning for plea

John Travis Martin, 47, of Belleville, will appear in provincial court on June 16 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on a sex charge laid by local police.

Martin was charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident on June 26, 2017, in Woodstock. He appeared in court on May 26 when the matter was adjourned to allow him more time to consult legal counsel.

Chipman man charged

Hunter Kilfillen, 26, of Chipman, will appear in provincial court on June 23 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.

Kilfillen was charged with refusing a breathalyzer test and committing mischief by interfering with a police camera, in connection with an incident on Jan. 5 in Woodstock. He made his first court appearance on May 26 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.

Facing sex charge

Mitchell Michael Diamond, 21, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court on June 23 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on a sex charge laid by Woodstock Police.

Diamond was charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident on Aug. 9, 2025, in Woodstock. He made his first court appearance on May 26 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.

Awaiting plea on two charges

Rocky Anthony Tucker, 50, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court on June 23 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.

Tucker was charged with assault involving a female victim on May 8 and breach of an undertaking (no-contact) on May 13 in Woodstock. He made his first court appearance on May 26 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.

Impaired driving charge

Michael David Watson, 47, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court on June 16 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.

Watson was charged with impaired driving and refusing a breathalyzer following an incident on Feb. 14 in Woodstock. He was scheduled for a first appearance on May 26, when the matter was adjourned at the request of his defence counsel.

Guilty to firearm offence

Heinrich Klassen, 30, of Fielding, will appear in provincial court for sentencing on July 21 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to a firearm charge. He was scheduled for sentencing on June 2, but the matter was adjourned to the new date at the request of his defence counsel.

Klassen was charged by the RCMP with careless use of a firearm concerning an incident on Oct. 9, 2025, in Fielding.

Sentencing on fraud charges  

Sherry Lynn Williams, 61, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court for sentencing on June 2 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading guilty to three fraud charges laid by Woodstock Police.

Williams was charged with three counts of theft and three counts of fraud stemming from three separate incidents in Woodstock between Feb. 19, 2019, and June 7, 2019; between March 6, 2019, and April 22, 2019; and between Jan. 13, 2017, and June 5, 2019.

She pleaded guilty to two counts of fraud under $5,000 and one count of fraud over $5,000. The three theft charges were withdrawn by the Crown. The victims were special needs female adult clients with the Community Residential Living Board.

Sentencing and peace bond

Riley Patrick Michaud, 22, of Woodstock, will appear for sentencing in provincial court on June 1 at 9:30 a.m. after changing his plea to guilty on one charge laid by Woodstock Police.

Michaud pleaded guilty to breaching a no-contact order against a female complainant stemming from an incident on Oct. 2, 2024, in Woodstock.

He was also charged with assault involving a female victim in connection with another incident on Aug. 21, 2024, in Woodstock.  He agreed to sign a 12-month peace bond on the assault charge. The peace bond results in that charge being withdrawn.

Trial in July

Christopher Thomas O’Keefe, 27, of Fielding, will appear for trial in provincial court in custody on July 13 and July 20 after pleading not guilty to charges laid by the RCMP.

O’Keefe was charged by the RCMP with sexual assault in connection with an incident on Feb. 26, 2023, at Upper Brighton, and failing to report his whereabouts to the national sex offender registry on Jan. 9 in Woodstock.

O’Keefe pleaded guilty to a charge of failing to appear for trial in December. His sentencing was adjourned until after his trial. A hearing was scheduled for June 8 at 1:30 p.m.

Released with conditions

Tanna Wright, 29, of Perth-Andover, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on May 29 for a bail hearing. She was released with conditions and returns to court for plea on June 9 at 9:30 a.m.

Wright was charged with assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, committing mischief, and two counts of breach of probation. She was arrested on April 28 and remanded.

At the request of her lawyer, she was sent for a 30-day mental health assessment at the Restigouche hospital. She was fit to stand trial according to her medical report.

Bail hearing scheduled

Brittany Priscilla King, 28, of Woodstock, will appear in provincial court in custody via video on June 11 at 9:30 a.m. for a bail hearing.

She appeared in court in custody on May 27 to set a new trial date and to enter a plea on charges laid by Woodstock Police. Those matters were adjourned to June 16 at 9:30 a.m.

King was charged with breaching her release order by failing to attend court on March 24. She was also charged with resisting arrest, assault with a weapon (a knife), and assault causing bodily harm to a male victim, concerning an incident on Nov. 5, 2023, in Woodstock. She pleaded not guilty and did not return for her trial.

Trial adjourned

Dustin Arthur Hawksley, 29, of Greenfield, will appear for trial in provincial court on Aug. 28 at 1:30 p.m. after pleading not guilty to two charges laid by Woodstock Police.

Hawksley was charged with assault involving a female victim and breach of a peace bond following an incident on Jan. 1, 2025, in Woodstock.

He was released on an undertaking to have no contact with the complainant. His trial was scheduled for June 1 but was adjourned to August on May 28 at the request of his defence counsel.

Sentencing on Monday

Brycen Trae Stewart, 28, of Lakeville, will appear in provincial court in custody for sentencing on June 1 at 9:30 a.m. after changing his plea to guilty on multiple charges.

Stewart was charged by Woodstock Police with breaching his release order stemming from incidents on Dec. 4 and Dec. 7, 2025, in Woodstock. He was denied bail and remanded. On March 12, he pleaded guilty.

Stewart also pleaded guilty to dangerous driving, flight from police and breaching his curfew on Dec. 16, 2024, in Woodstock. He also pleaded guilty to breaching a no-contact order on Jan. 13, 2025, in Woodstock. The charges were laid by Woodstock Police.

Stewart also pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching his release order (curfew) in connection with incidents on Sept. 24 and Oct. 8, 2024, in Woodstock. He was charged by the RCMP with breaking into a dwelling house on May 25, 2024, in Killoween and possession of a stolen vehicle on Aug. 4, 2023, in Lakeville. He pleaded guilty on March 12.
