Kingsclear man arrested
Callum James McGraw, 38, of Kingsclear, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on July 21 to answer 10 charges laid by Woodstock Police. The matter was adjourned for plea until after his bail hearing in Fredericton on other charges on July 22 at 9:30 a.m.
McGraw was charged with assault by choking, two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault causing bodily harm, sexual assault, unlawful confinement, uttering threats, theft of a vehicle and theft of credit cards. The charges relate to a series of incidents in Woodstock on Dec. 23, 2025; Feb. 1-28; April 27; May 9-10; June 1-7; and June 26. McGraw has a lengthy prior criminal record.
Remanded after bail hearing
Jeffrey Pike, 30, of Juniper, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on July 20 for plea on two new charges laid by the RCMP. The court heard he had a bail hearing on July 7 and was remanded.
PIke was charged with breach of a no-contact order and being at large on a release order concerning an incident on June 15 in Juniper. The matter was adjourned for plea until Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m.
Pike also appeared in provincial court on June 15 to set a new trial date after pleading not guilty to two sets of other charges laid by the RCMP. His trial was rescheduled for Nov. 6 at 1:30 p.m.
Pike was charged with two counts of assault involving a female victim on Dec. 25, 2024, and Dec. 27, 2024, at Juniper; assault with a weapon (a dresser), and uttering threats between Dec. 25, 2024 and Dec. 27, 2024, at Juniper.
Pike was also charged with two counts of breaching an undertaking (no contact order) on Feb. 7 and Feb. 9 at Juniper; and breach of an undertaking and obstructing the course of justice on Feb. 10 at Juniper. He was ordered to have no contact with the complainant.
Released to rehab
Mason Darren Bustard, 19, of Woodstock, was scheduled to appear in provincial court on July 21 for plea on a slew of charges laid by Woodstock Police and RCMP.
The court heard he had a bail hearing on July 15 and was released with strict conditions to a rehab facility in Moncton. A warrant was held on file until his next appearance via teleconference on July 28 at 9:30 a.m.
Bustard appeared in provincial court in custody via video on July 13 to answer 16 new charges laid by Woodstock Police.
The new charges against Bustard include theft of tools, possession of stolen tools, prowling at night on Cambridge Street, five counts of attempting to steal from a vehicle, two counts of mischief causing property damage to the key and ignition of two vehicles, five counts of theft, and possession of stolen property. All the alleged incidents took place on April 7-8 in Woodstock.
At an earlier court appearance, Bustard was also charged with possession of stolen property, possession of break-in tools and breach of probation in connection with a rash of vehicle break-ins on April 7-8 in the Elizabeth Street, Creighton Street and Rose Court areas. He was also charged with theft of a motor vehicle from the Legacy Ford dealership in Woodstock on April 30.
Bustard was also charged with flight from police and mischief causing property damage to a lawn at Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation); breach of probation, possession of a stolen truck, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace (a knife), and breaching a release order in Woodstock; two counts of breaching his release order and mischief causing property damage to his ankle bracelet in Bloomfield; and flight from police and theft of fuel in Florenceville-Bristol. All the incidents are alleged to have occurred on April 30.
On July 13, Defence Counsel Tim Murphy said his client planned to plead not guilty to all the charges, but would not request a trial date until later.
Victoria County man awaiting plea
Ian McLaughlin, 33, of Morrell Siding, will appear in provincial court on Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m. to enter his plea on several charges laid by the RCMP. He was scheduled for plea on July 21 when the matter was adjourned to allow him more time to consult legal counsel.
McLaughlin was charged with breach of an undertaking, assault, committing mischief, possession of a firearm without a licence and unauthorized possession of a loaded firearm concerning incidents on March 22 and April 20 in Victoria County. Following his arrest, he was held in custody for a bail hearing and released with conditions. The court heard he also has matters pending in another jurisdiction.
Plea date for assault
Jesse Grant, 33, of Green Road, will appear in provincial court on Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on an assault charge laid by Woodstock Police.
Grant was charged in connection with an incident on April 17 in Woodstock. He appeared in court on July 21 when the matter was adjourned to the new date at the request of his defence counsel.
Green Road incident
Krystal Davenport, 31, of Green Road, will appear in provincial court on Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on an assault charge laid by the RCMP.
Davenport was charged with assault with a weapon (a board) following an incident on April 11 on Green Road. She appeared in provincial court on July 21 when the matter was adjourned to the new date at the request of her defence counsel.
Awaiting plea and trial
Chad Brooker, 36, of Centreville, will appear in provincial court on Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on three charges laid by the RCMP. He was scheduled to enter a plea on July 21 when the matter was adjourned at the request of his defence counsel.
Brooker was charged with assault in connection with an incident on Dec. 15, 2025, in Williamstown; theft of a snowmobile on Jan. 10 in Hartland; and possession of a stolen snowmobile on Jan. 11 in Hartland.
At an earlier court appearance, he pleaded not guilty to sexual assault, touching a minor for a sexual purpose and invitation to sexual touching in connection with an incident between June 1 and Oct. 31, 2024, at Centreville. His trial was set for April 1-2, 2027, at 9:30 a.m. A pre-trial conference was also booked for Jan. 5, 2027, at 1:30 p.m.
Plea on firearm charges
Shawn Johnston, 47, of Mainstream, will appear in provincial court on Aug. 4 at 9:30 a.m. to answer several firearm charges laid by the RCMP.
Johnston was charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, two counts of unauthorized possession of a firearm, and possession of a prohibited weapon, concerning an incident on June 9 at Mainstream. He appeared in court on July 21 when the matter was adjourned to the new date.
Trial on sex charge
John Travis Martin, 47, of Belleville, appeared in provincial court on July 21 and pleaded not guilty to a sex charge laid by local police. His trial date will be set at his next court appearance on Aug. 10 at 1:30 p.m.
Martin was charged with sexual assault in connection with an incident on June 26, 2017, in Woodstock.
Agreed to peace bond
Michael McIntosh, 37, of Coldstream, appeared for trial in provincial court on July 20, after pleading not guilty to three assault charges. He agreed to sign a 12-month peace bond, and the trial was cancelled.
RCMP charged McIntosh with assaulting two men and one woman in connection with an incident on Feb. 8 in Juniper. The peace bond will result in the charges being withdrawn.
Monitoring hearing
Elizabeth Alice Davidson, 55, of Nackawic, appeared in provincial court on July 21 to set a date for her trial on charges laid by Woodstock Police. The matter was adjourned until Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m. to allow her time to secure new legal counsel.
Davidson was charged by Woodstock Police with breach of probation and mischief causing property damage on May 26, 2025, at the Valley Food Bank on Houlton Road. She pleaded not guilty.
Sentencing postponed
Donald Nason, 63, of Hartland, appeared for sentencing in provincial court on July 21 after changing his plea to guilty on an assault charge laid by the RCMP. His sentencing was postponed due to a dispute with the facts. A hearing was set for Aug. 27 at 1:30 p.m. at the request of Defence Counsel Peter Hyslop.
Nason was charged with assault by choking involving a female victim concerning an incident on Jan. 2, 2025, in Hartland. He pleaded guilty to the lesser included offence of common assault.
Guilty to firearm offence
Heinrich Klassen, 30, of Fielding, was scheduled to appear in provincial court for sentencing on July 21 after pleading guilty to a firearm charge. He failed to appear, and a warrant was held on file. Defence Counsel Jonathan Martin appeared on his client’s behalf.
Klassen was charged by the RCMP with careless use of a firearm concerning an incident on Oct. 9, 2025, in Fielding. A new sentencing date was set for Aug. 12 at 9:30 a.m.
Trial on six charges
Austin Francis, 28, of Neqotkuk (Tobique First Nation), will appear for trial in provincial court on Dec. 10-11 at 9:30 a.m. after pleading not guilty to six charges laid by the RCMP.
Francis was charged with discharging a firearm with intent, assault with a weapon, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public peace, possession of a prohibited weapon, and possession of a firearm without a licence concerning an incident on July 5, 2025, at Neqotkuk.
A pre-trial conference was held on July 21 to review the status of the case. Another pre-trial conference was booked for Sept. 29 at 1:30 p.m. to ensure all disclosure from the Crown is filed in advance of the trial.
Two new charges
Vinal Todd Hatto, 40, of Pokiok, appeared in provincial court on July 21 to answer two new charges related to his required attendance at a Moncton rehab facility.
Hatto was charged with two counts of breaching his probation for incidents in Woodstock and Moncton between Sept. 6-11, 2025, and in Moncton between Sept. 4, 2025, and June 8, 2026. He returns to court for plea on Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Hatto also appeared in provincial court on May 12 for a monitoring hearing to confirm his trial dates on several other charges laid by Woodstock Police.
Hatto was charged with arson, dangerous driving, two counts of breaching a release order and driving while prohibited concerning an incident on Sept. 5, 2025, in Woodstock. He pleaded not guilty, and his trial was set for Nov. 30 at 9:30 a.m.
He is also facing other charges of obstructing Woodstock Police and possession of stolen inspection stickers in connection with an incident on May 16, 2025. He pleaded not guilty, and a trial date was set for Nov. 25 at 9:30 a.m.
He will also stand trial on seven drug trafficking charges laid by Woodstock Police. He pleaded not guilty, and his trial date was set for Nov. 26-27 at 9:30 a.m.
Hatto was charged with possession of cocaine, methamphetamine, ecstasy, ketamine, fentanyl, oxycontin, hydromorphone, and methylphenidate, all for the purpose of trafficking, on May 28, 2025, in Lower Woodstock.
In September 2025, Hatto was released from custody with conditions to a rehab facility in Moncton after being sentenced to time served on other separate charges.
Sentencing in August
Joshua Matthew Jarrett, 39, of Woodstock, appeared in provincial court in custody via video on July 21 to answer one new charge.
Jarrett was charged with mischief causing property damage to an ankle bracelet on March 12 in Woodstock. He returns to court in custody for plea on Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
He also appeared in provincial court on June 8 for trial in custody and changed his plea to guilty on two other charges laid by the RCMP. His sentencing was set for Aug. 5 at 9:30 a.m.
Jarrett pleaded guilty to theft of a truck and flight from police on Feb. 5 in East Brighton. Three other charges were withdrawn by the Crown. He appeared in court in custody in March for a bail hearing and was released on conditions, but was later arrested in Fredericton on other matters.
On Aug. 5, he will also enter a plea in Woodstock on another charge of obstructing police on Sept. 25, 2025, at Dow Settlement.
Plea on three charges
Madison Anderson, 20, of Fredericton, formerly of Plaster Rock, appeared in provincial court on July 21 to answer two new charges laid by Woodstock Police. She returns to court for plea on Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m.
Anderson was charged with breaching a release order, theft from the Walmart on Feb. 10, and mischief causing property damage to a vehicle on Nov. 12, 2025, in Woodstock. A warrant was also issued for two other co-accused.
At an earlier court appearance, she was charged with two counts of theft: one on Nov. 24, 2025, at the Petro Canada near Meductic, and one involving the theft of copper wire at Wotstak (Woodstock First Nation) on the same date. She pleaded not guilty and a trial date was set for June 23, 2027, at 9:30 a.m.
Returning for plea
Gerald Douglas Sheaves of Woodstock will appear in provincial court on Aug. 18 at 9:30 a.m. for plea on two charges laid by Woodstock Police.
Sheaves was charged with theft from the Woodstock Superstore between Dec. 5, 2025 and Jan. 7, 2026, and mischief causing property damage to a video security system on Jan. 7 at the Superstore. He was released on an undertaking to stay away from the store.
