Police, school administration won’t confirm what concern was
In an email from Woodstock High School Principal Nicole Giberson, parents of students were notified of an incident at the school on Friday, Feb. 6
“I’m writing to let you know that staff were alerted to a potential safety concern today and responded right away,” wrote Giberson. “Police were contacted as part of our protocol, and the situation was resolved quickly.”
Giberson told parents that, for privacy reasons, details could not be shared, but she assured them that “the school community remained safe throughout.”
Woodstock Police Force (WPF) Deputy Chief Simon Watts confirmed that police had been called but could not provide further details.
“Our Resource and Engagement Unit worked with the school administration to resolve the issue,” said Watts. “There was no threat or risk to public safety, and the issue was dealt with appropriately.”
