Fans from everywhere filled the Dooryard tent and Kierstead Court in Woodstock as day three delivered roots, indie rock, and high-voltage alt-rock
Day three of the Dooryard Arts Festival ended with an evening of music featuring Connor Fox Trio, Seth Anderson, Joel Plaskett Emergency, and The Hypochondriacs.
Connor Fox Trio and The Hypochondriacs
At the Kierstead Court, Connor Fox Trio established the night’s tone with roots and blues rock. The trio is a subunit of The Hypochondriacs, featuring Fox on guitar and vocals, Jamie Guitar on bass, and Andrew DeMerchant on drums.
Fox said it was great to perform earlier in the evening to get people excited for The Hypochondriacs later in the night.

“It’s been a couple of times that I’ve been here, and it’s always great. Glad to be back. I like the community of it all. I think Woodstock is a really nice small town, and it’s cool to see everybody sort of get together. People come in from other cities too, which is really neat,” said Fox.
The Hypochondriacs consist of Josh Bravener, singer-songwriter; guitar on bass; Kelly Waterhouse on saxophone and vocals; Fox on lead guitar; and DeMerchant on drums.
They closed the night with their rockabilly-style music.
Seth Anderson
Anderson, who was born and raised in Hartland and now lives in Canmore, Alta., hit the mainstage with his band, where he played some old and new tunes.
The singer-songwriter expressed his gratitude for being back in the place where he grew up.

“It’s my favourite festival to play at, where it’s in my home county, and the people here are always the best. The organizers do such a great job of bringing people together, and it’s an honour to be here,” said Anderson.
Anderson’s indie rock music had people out of their seats dancing along to the heartfelt lyrics and rhythmic beats.

Joel Plaskett Emergency
A performance that seemed to be the most anticipated for the evening, Joel Plaskett Emergency had people jumping and dancing as close to the stage as possible.
Plaskett is a Halifax-based singer-songwriter who is known for his alternative rock music.

People came from out of town and other provinces to see Plaskett. Mark Hambly and his family came to Woodstock for the first time just to see Plaskett.
“It’s been great. We’re pretty excited to see him. I haven’t seen him in over 12 or 13 years. So, it’s a good chance to see him,” said Hambly.
