Where to vote and where to find results tonight
The campaign is over, and now it’s up to the voters of New Brunswick to choose who will lead their respective municipal governments.
Across New Brunswick today, residents will vote to elect mayors, councillors, and rural district representatives. Today’s election also includes district education councils.
Polls open at 10 a.m. and close at 8 p.m.
If you don’t know where to vote, visit the Elections New Brunswick website, enter your address, and it will show you your specific voting station. If you do not have a computer or internet access, you can call ElectionsNB at 1-888-858-8683, and they can tell you where you need to go to vote.
You must live in the electoral district for at least 40 days and be a Canadian citizen who is 18 years of age or older to vote.
For those with mobility issues, you can vote at the polling station, where staff can bring the ballot to your car. People who have difficulty reading can also use devices that help them read ballots. And for people who can’t mark a ballot, there are devices to help you mark the candidate of your choice.
Polls close at 8 p.m. Some results are expected to be quick, but Elections New Brunswick says some results may come in as late as 10 p.m., depending on the polling station
